Concurrent controls operate with the system to make corrections. Feedback allows the system to send information to the operator to check if controls are doing what they are supposed to do. Amour has an effective control system because the new equipment has signals to let the operator know the compound is mixed correctly and it has notification to stop mixing if the mixture is not to specifications. The automatic signal allows the operator/ the management to make correc tions before the loss of the compound which is equivalent to the money loss for the incorrect formula. Controls within the organization allows the management to monitor each batch of compound by having readings based on the original batch given to by RD. Monitoring the preparation of the compound is the key by the operator but with the extra signals of the machines and the stop mechanism once it is not mixing properly. Amour is using feed forward and concurrent information to insure the process is working according to the standard because feedback controls are slow getting information to management which could be a very expensive loss. Managers and operator need to be monitoring the correct amount of compound to produce the product. Fleetwood Mac Concert Review - Free Essay Example

This past Wednesday, on November 21st, I attended a Fleetwood Mac concert. Fleetwood Mac is a rock band that formed in London during the 1970s and include both American and British performers. They are widely-known and just embarked on their most recent tour in October of 2018, called An Evening with Fleetwood Mac. This tour is different from the bands others in that one of the original members, Lindsey Buckingham, has departed from the group, and it is the bands farewell tour. Neil Finn and Mike Campbell are the two new additions since Buckinghams departure, both of who blend well with the rest of the band. The concert was held at a large indoor arena called the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The arena is known to be the home of the San Jose Sharks Hockey Team, and seats 15,000 people. As I walked into the arena, I noticed a large majority of the concert-goers were middle aged people, the baby-boomer generation if you will. Both adult men and women filed into the venue, with excited looks on their faces. I was pleasantly surprised by the noticeable amount of young people in the audience as well, many of who were decked out in 70s apparel of scarves and flare jeans. It is clear that Fleetwood Mac attracts fans from a time of their peak popularity, but they also continue to attract new listeners as many of their songs are timeless and well-known even among a younger demographic. The crowd was diverse, however still dominantly white. Everyone seemed to be in a great spirits during the show, singing along with the band receiving positive responses to their music. Typically concerts at large venues are crowded and impersonal, however the band was great at connecting with fans and audience participation. There was a good amount of fans who knew all the songs, but many younger people in the audience only sang along and danced to the bands main hits. At the start of the show, Fleetwood Mac entered the stage and took their places at their rightful microphones or instruments. Stevie Nicks walked straight to her microphone in the center of the stage, followed by her was Mick Fleetwood who headed to the drum set in the back left side of the stage. Meanwhile, Christine McVie took her seat at her keyboard, while her ex-husband John took his place on the stage next to Nicks with his bass. Lastly, Mike Campbell and Neil Finn join in. The band opens with of their most popular songs, The Chain. The audience immediately begins to sing along and cheer. I saw both young and old fans stand up and sway to the melody of the song. The group put a lot of care and feeling into building their set list, and took the trouble to introduce songs associated with former band members. The overall feel of the concert was very natural, almost like a family feel. The band members, although not all original members and relationships between certain members remain, Fleetwood Macs presence was electric. They knew what they were doing, there was amazing chemistry between all band members, and the set-up of the stage was very practical. All of the group can be seen spread out across the stage with backdrop that had fun and calming images, almost psychedelic imagery of nature and flowers. Steve Nicks rocked an all-black long coat, with two different gloves on each hand and tied it all together with a scarf tied around her microphone. John McVie wore a fun bright colored vest and a white hat that matched his hair. Fleetwood is seen behind his gold and white drum set with a hat as well, rocking a western themed outfit including a black best and a red bandana. Mike Campbell made his mark with a fun top hat and neon colored coat, to stand out among the majority of band members in black. All band members seemed to be in good spirits and connected on a spiritual level throughout the performance, which made for an inspiring show. The band is known to perform mainly pop rock and folk rock songs and in their earlier days resembled that of a blues band. The music group and its diverse members incorporate many different styles and influences into their music, making their concert lack repetition due to the variety and diversity of genres and albums they performed from. Fleetwood Mac included many songs from their most popular album, Rumours, in their set list; but the group also incorporated other songs from all throughout the bands time creating music. During the concert one could detect the varying musical influences on the band from RB Muddy Waters style, folk and banjo, and finger picking, to call and response between the band and the singers, and the British blues-boom in their early days. The British blues-boom is an authentic vintage feel of a performance that has 12 bar blues progression and shouting vocals. You hear the band transition into a softer more folk feel throughout the evolution of their albums . In An Evening with Fleetwood Mac the audience heard all different genres and musical styles. During the performance of World Turning, Mick Fleetwood had a long drum and percussion solo. He started out with a backbeat type drum rhythm while getting the audience excited with inserting words of excitement. He engaged with the audience doing call and response with drums and vocals, while just playing the hi-hat to build up. Fleetwood then breaks out in a full drum solo while engaging with the crowd to cheer him on. The backup percussionist then joined in and the two played somewhat randomly. There was no consistent rhythm, but it was fun and uplifting beat. In the song Oh Well, one of the bands first songs originally composed by Peter Green, Campbell took over the role for an instrumental solo. Mike Campbell remained true to Greens original blue style during the performance and played the classic riffs of the original sounds. Finn provided a lot of the main acoustic strumming for songs where Nicks was lead singer. Most of the bands song consist of instrumentation including drums, bass, guitar, and piano, along with harmonies from the backup singers, percussionist, keyboarder, and guitarist. Although older, the folk rock group still can perform like they used to. Mick Fleetwood was jamming out on the drums like he was twenty-five again, and McVie brought lots of character to the stage. Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie were in the spotlight Wednesday night, especially since the departure of Buckingham from the group. Band members took turns in the spotlight with instrumental solos as well. I heard beautiful harmonies between Nicks and Finn, and was pleasantly surprised how Neil Finn naturally fit into the groups vibe. The chemistry between the singers and band members was great, almost so much so that you would never be able to tell they had been working together for just a couple of months. Harmonies between Finn, Mac and Nicks were powerful and beautiful, sounding like it was meant to be. The band provided a mix of their best hits, both sentimental and loud. The music slowed down and the lights came down, as Nicks started her performance of Free Fallin. During the performance, images of the old band members and Tom Petty flashed on the screen in the background, giving a feel of nostalgia and wholesomeness. One of my favorite songs of the night was Stevies feminist rendition of Black Magic Woman, as she announced to the crowd that she rewrote is from the point of view of a woman. I admire Fleetwood Mac and I have been a fan ever since I learned that both Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham attended the same high school I did. At the time I knew of the band, but had never heard of their music. Out of curiosity I began following the band and found that I really enjoyed their natural folky music. I was very excited at the news they were touring again and my parents took the opportunity to quickly grab tickets. I loved that I saw other people my age in attendance, fully in spirit. The crowd was active and engaged throughout the entirety of the performance, while Fleetwood Mac remained exciting. It made me even more delighted and involved in the concert, singing along to the tunes with my parents. I think their new tour and more specifically their performance on Wednesday night was magical and wildly successful. I band like Fleetwood Mac can rarely disappoint. Although skeptical at first of the new additions of Finn and Campbell, they proved themselves exceedingly . They blended in perfectly, and the rest of the audience seemed impressed and happy that the bands sound and spirit was still remained. Its safe to say there was a generous consensus of satisfaction. The crowd cheered for an encore and were consistently standing, dancing, and singing along throughout the two hour performance. As the concert began and the band members entered the stage, I looked around and saw many fans starry eyed staring at the stage, giddy and smiling to their neighbors about the beauty that was to come. Afterwards as we were exiting, the same excited look in most audience members eyes remained. People were talking about their favorite song, Fleetwoods impressive drumming regardless of his age, Stevies soulful voice, and the amazing instrumentation and voices heard during the night.

For almost two centuries, fairytales have been a huge part of society and mainstream pop culture. Fairytales are ways creators explain the world to children. Fairytales give a platform to teach young children moral lessons and give them ideas on how to apply them to everyday situations in kid-friendly language. Even though fairytales are make believe stories, often the portrayal of males and females in them are not accurate. The models help in the clear understanding of the concepts. Effective communication helps in the success of an individual in various aspects related to his life. This is an interpersonal skill and helps in learning the way by which the communication of a person can improve. Communication process between individuals involves the encoding and decoding process (Austin Pinkleton, 2015). Encoding refers to the conversion of any information from a system to the other system with the help of codes. Codes include symbols, letters or signs. The code and the system are related to each other and this together makes the communication process more effective. In the process of communication, the encoder acts as the source of information and encodes the information or the message properly within his mind and thereby sends the coded information to the r eceiver. After receiving the message, the receiver interprets it with the help of his own intellect levels and his experience as well. The source of this process is the main part of the communication and the communication process is incomplete without him (Gelles, Moitra Sahai, 2014). The next part of this communication process is the receiver or the decoder of the message. Communication is a continuous process and this comprises of the source of the information and the destination as well. Decoding refers to the ability of the receiver of the message to decode or interpret the message sent by the source or encoder according to the understanding and the intellect level of the decoder. The decoder interprets a message easily if the information sent by the source is clear and simple. The receiver will further send the message to the sender or the source and the communication process continues in this manner (Harley, 2013). The message sent by the source should be accurate, clear and meaningful and it has to designed in such a way so that the readers, listeners and the viewers are not confused or mistaken. Encoding refers to the formation of the message and decoding refers to the audience or listener of the message that has been encoded. There are many factors that negatively impact the encoding and decoding process of communication. The main problem occurs when the process of encoding the information is poor (Jandt, 2012). The message fails to create the right effect and fulfil the objectives of the communication. This includes the poor phrasing of the words which can completely change its meanings. This problem can also occur in case of the translations of the messages when there is a language difference. The problem can also occur from the part of the decoder and the way by which he interprets the messages. In this case the message that has been sent by the source is clear, however, the process of the interpretation of the message is incorrect or the message has been received in a different manner (Laghari Connelly, 2012). The other issue in the encoding and decoding process is the failure of the medium by which the message has been sent. The medium of communication acts as an important factor in the communication process. The signals that are sent by the communication medium can be faulty which can result in the failure of the process. The noise or disturbance in the communication process can also act as factor that influences the effectivity of the communication. The loud noise can affect the ability of the receiver to listen to the message. When J.B. started his journey with Vivek and Amit, where Amit was appointed as his interpreter, the three factors that are discussed above have affected their journey (Robson Robinson, 2013). They joined J.B. after he arrived India and was finding the place and the environment quite different from where he belongs. Though Amit was his interpreter, still there was huge communication gap between t hem and this has led to many misunderstandings between them. 2.There are four different types of barriers of communication which includes semantic barriers, personal barriers, organizational barriers and emotional or psychological barriers. Semantic barriers include the bad way of expression of a message where the language of the communication is a barrier. The difference in the meanings of the words and the way they are translated or interpreted is also a barrier in communication (Shrivastava, 2012). The assumptions made by the receiver of the messages and the clarification given by the sender is a factor that affects the communication process. The technical jargons that are used in the communication process and the body language of the sender is another barrier in the communication. The emotional barriers include the evaluation of a message without thinking about the contents of the message or making decisions before receiving the messages. The attention of the receiver of the message towards the contents or information in the message acts a s a barrier as well. The message that has been sent can also be lost in the process of transmission and the trust factor of the receiver of the message is a barrier as well (Sutter Kieser, 2015). The other types of barriers that are likely to occur in a communication process are the personal barriers, which includes the barriers of communication that is related to the superiors in the organization and the subordinates as well. The barriers faced by the subordinates is related to the authority of the superiors and the challenge posed to them and the lacking confidence of the subordinates. The barriers that are faced by the superiors include the lack of willingness of the superiors to communicate and the lack of importance given to the ideas and suggestions of the superiors by the subordinates is another personal barrier. In case of the three main characters of the movie, that is, J.B., Rinku and Dinesh the semantic barriers have a lot of impact (Trenholm, 2017). The difference in th e language spoken by them and the different meanings of the words is a barrier for the three characters. The faults in the translation of the message that is communicated is also an important barrier. The psychological emotional barriers have also impacted their process of communication. The evaluation of the messages before listening, the lacking attention of the characters towards each is an important factor in the process of communication. The trust level between the characters is also quite low because of the differences between them, which also acts as a barrier in the communication process (Turaga, 2016). There are three reasons in the case study due to which the fraud happened Technical- HH is a large hospital in San Francisco which consists of approx. 340 patient beds and 420 physicians and is also affiliated with the prominent university and medical school. It was founded in the year 1912 and in the year 1990 hospital started using mid-range information systems namely AS/400 and TANDEM hardware along with client/server technology and since then it has undergone minor upgrades and customization, this is one of the loop holes which can lead to fraud. When we are not moving with the marketing condition accordingly then there are chances of fraudsters to mold the obsolete softwares as per there need(Piper, 2013). In this case study it was the responsibility of Tracy downs to take care of all the files of vendors and delete the obsolete ones but she was not doing it properly and in fact when Matt Harris was promoted as permanent employee still his vendor file was not deleted due to which he was able to input the fraud data of vendors under his own vendor acco unt. And when his boss was out for vacations Matt was given the access to main safe where pre signed checks were lying and using those he forged checks(Rudman, 2009). Organizational- when we make organizational policies then they should be strictly followed because they are made keeping in mind the benefit of the welfare of the organization. In this case when there is a policy that you cannot hire a person who belongs to the blood relative of the existing staff then why Matt Harris was kept on the job and if kept then why the background verification was not done(Sparrow, 2014). Tracy Down the accounts payable manager could have prevented this fraud from happening if he doesnt override the policies made. In spite of being warned by internal auditors, she doesnt bother to listen to anyone and promoted him as a permanent employee. People- the administrative workgroup conducted a study of accounting payable department for which they had a staff of ten employees but on completing this task they suddenly realized that they now dont need two AP clerks as there is a reduction in medical supply to vendors so they decided to eliminate 2 clerks in spite of their bosses were not in favor of this elimination but they did without listening to them (Gosfield, 2005). A few months later there was again shortage so they hired Matt as a temporary clerk in AP department who later was accused of the fraud. Mr. Smith, CFO of the company was brought to the notice by Mr. Walter that Harris has been hired and it is against policies then Smith could have chosen to eliminate Harris instead of shifting him to another department, he was somewhat thought emotionally at that very moment as Harris mother was ex-employee (Klein Campbell, 2006) . Internal auditor Mr. Walter also plays an important role in this case. On doing routine checkup when he identified that Mr. Harris is a son of Sharon Harris one of their employees and it is against the rule of organizations nepotism policy and is a very sensitive issue then at that very moment he should have convinced Mr. Smith Companys CFO to take action against this matter. Later on, when Allen Walter began planning an information system fraud investigation he identified that a possible fraud has occurred and he notified all the departments about this but the mistake which he made was he didnt follow up (Powderly, 2015). There could have been a systematic plan made on implementing which such frauds could be prevented. There should be a department head for every department and he should be responsible for all the workings of that department and the only HR should be responsible for hiring employees and that too with checking all the necessary information(Rudman, 2009). Whenever any manager goes for a sudden leave then work should be delegated to the manager of the same level and that too within the dual custody and one person should be responsible only for one task. Major responsibilities and the charge should be given only to senior employees who are old in the system not to new employees. Then it should be directly reported to the department manager and CFO of the company and immediate action must be taken.organisation policies must be reviewed every year and all the technology must be updated with the time so that security standards are maintained and no one can try to override(Gosfield, 2005). Later on, when the fraud was detected only then the finance and accounts department took the auditors comment seriously if these problems were rectified earlier they do not have to suffer a loss of $80,000. It should become a practice for both the departments as well as auditors to review the comments and rectify the same at the earliest(Klein Campbell, 2006). He has the nobles and Queen Isabel dressed in royal colours such as red and purple to reflect their important state whilst Gaveston wears a ripped black shirt and trousers, reflecting his unimportance in society. A particularly large range of characters, part of whose dramatic function is to display the rich variety of social classes whose lives are affected by Edwards behaviour and bad government, populates the geographical space. The middle classes appear in the persons of the Mayor of Bristol and Trussel, while the presence of Rhys ap Howell displays Wales as part of the realm. All levels of priests make an appearance, from the Bishop of Canterbury down to simple monks. Meanwhile, Edwards court contains gentleman, both upper such as Spencer and lower such as Baldock, civil officials and servants. Also, in Act four, scene five, we see the king and his party as they panic and flee. Edward is at first opposed to the dishonour of flight, claiming a sense of unified, permanent identity connected to his station in life: What was I born to fly and run away, And leave the Mortimers conquerors behind? Edward knows that if he leaves he has failed as a King but he is still easily persuaded by the nobles to leave. Edward is alienated from his kingly self as he makes the instant decision, of lowly flight across the changeable sea instead of honourable death on horseback on the battlefield. Edward therefore chooses without knowing it the ignominious course of events that will follow. Edward is seen as unnatural, because he does not follow the kind of kingship defined by the example of his dominant and successful father, Edward I. The sixteenth century read the word natural as a reference to heredity: behaving according to nature meant following ones parents example. It is within a structure supported by nature that feudal duty has its place. This is why the Lords can feel that they no longer owe Edward the duty of allegiance, once they see him as unnaturally neglecting them. This can be seen in Act 4, scene 5 as Mortimer Junior says: Madam, have done with care and sad complaint; Your King hath wronged your country and himself. Therefore Marlowe in using the twin concepts of what is natural and what is unnatural- recurring themes of the play allows us to understand the duties of a King at this time, which therefore makes Edwardss failure so much more apparent. One of Marlowes narrative techniques is to foreshadow events through curses or promises. For example Mortimers prophetic curse in Act four, scene five asking that Edwards voyage to Ireland should be turned back by storms, comes uncannily true: Some whirlwind fetch them back or sink them all! They shall be started thence, I doubt it not. This also serves the banal narrative function of preparing the audience to comprehend the situation when precisely this has happened in Act four, scene six. Curses that come true give a play a sense of inevitability, and in a way this is so, since the audience knows that certain historical events happened, and the play must work with those. Thus, the sense of premonition is entirely appropriate to a history play. Marlowe therefore uses a variety of fascinating techniques when presenting history in Edward II. Whether looked at as a history play with a political focus or a tragedy with a personal focus it is definitely an exhilarating, unique piece of work.

How do you feel about celebrities and their privacy? Can you imagine being watched by reporters everyday of your life? Once celebrities reach a certain level of fame, their private lives become the topic of discussion among their fans and foes. Privacy is not guaranteed among famous people due to them constantly being stalked by the paparazzi and their fans. I feel reporters and the paparazzi should respect celebrities right to privacy because at the end of the day they are normal people who are just known by the world that come with the fame and fortune. Celebrities are always being watched because of their fame and fortune. Everything they do from what they eat, what they wear, even their exercise routine is criticized by reporters and foes. According to the Huffington Post, their are two types of reporters. There are red carpet event reporters who are invited to the event and allowed to photograph the celebrities. Then you have the paparazzi, which are the reporters who stalk celebrities and photograph them without their consent. Britney Spears is a good example of why reporters need to back off of celebrities. Back in 2009, she attacked a reporter’s car with a umbrella. At the time of the incident, Britney was in the middle of going to rehab to get her life together. This reporter was very lucky because Britney could have hit him with umbrella instead of his car. Sometimes reporters go too far, when in contact with celebrities. A more recent incident is with Kanye West. Kanye West attacked the same reporter who was in a similar accident with Britney Spears. West was walking through the airport minding his own business, until these one reporter constantly asks him questions. There is a video of the incident, where you can hear the reporter asking Kanye questions. He didn’t respond to the reporter tactics until the end when he pushed he that the reporter was just trying to get a law suit then he pushed the camera and the fight began. As a writer, I can understand what reporters go through when they want to deliver a great story or article. Some reporters take it to the extremes in order to catch celebrities in compromising positions. For example, New York Daily News reporters have captured celebrities at their worst moments. Fans and viewers want to see their idols and favorite people looking good and doing normal things. Reporters have been known to go to some major extremes to capture photographs. Christina Aguilera was photographed doing a singing engagement while her menstrual cycle was on. She is pictured with blood running down her leg. Even when celebrities think the cameras are not on them, they are. Amanda Bynes was seen to be taking drugs while sitting in her car. Can you imagine how much criticism and disrespect she may have endured from people seeing that photo? Reporters catch celebrities some of the simplest things such as getting a wedgie out, picking their nose or even a wardrobe malfunction. Adam Sandler was captured getting boogers out of his nose while Zac Efron was photographed with his hand down his pants. In my opinion, reporters make a big deal about the smallest things when a celebrity does it due to their status and fame. There are very few magazines out there that actually show and embrace celebrities doing normal things without criticizing them. Glamour Magazine has captured celebrities buying groceries, shopping and having lunch,, normal activities. Celebrities have families and loved ones just like we do. There are times when reporters catch them spending time with their families. I feel there should be a boundary when it comes to celebrities’ family members. Talking about the celebrities its one thing but when reporters start talking about their children, spouse and parents, its gone too far. A perfect example of when reporters should have not been in celebrities â€Å"more† personal lives is when they questioned Beyonce actually being pregnant. There were stories that she had a surrogate mother and faked her pregnancy. I feel the reporters crossed the line when publishing those articles because it hurts when people talk about you, but when they bring in your loved ones, it hurts even more. Reporters should not have the right to write articles about celebrities that focus on their personal lives such as pregnancies, deaths, illnesses, even debt. Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was a prime example of how reporters should have not be allowed to write and photograph some parts of their lives. For example, they should not have been allowed to write articles about Whitney and Bobby’s frequent drug use. That should have been something that was kept out of the public eye and only to those in their inner circles. There are many new television shows that focus on celebrities and their lives. Some of these reality shows show fans that their favorite people are not always sweet and innocent but can be disrespectful and uncaring. The top reality television shows include Jersey Shore, Love and Hip Hop, Real Housewives of Atlanta and many more. Fans get to see their favorite people in a comfortable environment and interacting with other people. Housewives of Atlanta, is a show based in Atlanta following six woman lives. Kandi Burruss is one of my favorite celebrities on the show. She is a very independent woman who takes care of her family by making her own music and she’s also an entrepreneur. On the show, she has been battling with the media concerning her mother and her fiance relationships. Kandi is one of the few celebrities who strays away from always been in the spotlight. She loves her privacy and doesn’t do anything to cause reporters to want to stalk or plaster her business over magazine covers. Celebrities should be granted privacy because at the end of the day, they are still normal people just like we are. Reporters and paparazzi should respect celebrities wishes when they voice their concern about respecting their families. Photographing and criticizing celebrities is one thing but doing it to their children and families has crossed the line. Celebrities are normal people at the end of the day. Just like normal people they make mistakes that can deter their life for a moment but always learn from it. The paparazzi and celebrities have secrets just like normal people do. According to the AskMen. com, celebrities sometimes release their daily schedule in order for them to be photographed by reporters. Celebrities release their schedules to reporters in order for them to photographed and kept in the public eye. To viewers it seems like they are being stalked by reporters but that is not always the case. For example, Paris Hilton is one of the few celebrities who has given her schedule to reporters because she wanted to be photographed in order to stay in magazines and on viewers minds. Some celebrities have acknowledged the fact that their private lives isnt always a guarantee. It is possible for celebrities to keep their private lives a secret and still remain famous. For example, the singer Adele is a very private person who enjoys the limelight but also loves spending time with her family. She stays hidden from the paparazzi and magazines so well that her son’s name has never been revealed to the public.

A ‘good’ business is deemed to be one which acts in a socially responsible fashion, and takes ethical decisions and actions at all times. Kush, Meroe, and Nubia

Archeologists have confirmed the inhabitation of the Nile above Aswan in the Paleolithic period that lasted more that 60,000 years of the Sudanese history. By the 8th millennium BC, during the Neolithic era, people had settled in the brick houses and their economic life was characterized by fishing, hunting along river Nile, cattle herding and grain gathering. The skeletal remains give an evidence of blending between the Mediterranean people and the Negroid during the Neolithic period that has existed until today.The northern Sudan oldest history evidence originates from the Egyptian sources that described the land upstream starting from the first cataract as wretched or Cush. For 2000 year and more in the time of old Kingdom, the economic, political and social life of the central Nile region was influenced by the Egyptians, even as the political power of the Egyptian waned in the Cushite, the Egyptians still had a substantial influence in the Cushite way of life.For many centuries, the Egyptian caravan exchanged grain for ivory, carnelian, hide and incense with Cushite. Slaves and gold were highly valued by the Egyptian traders. The Egyptian penetrated the Cush in the Middle kingdom after construction of fort at Sammah to guard the gold flow from Wawat mines.Asian nomads that were referred to as Hyksos invaded Egypt destroying many links to the Cush in around 1720 BC. During the reign of Pharaoh Ahmose 1, Egypt revived its political power during the New Kingdom around 1110BC and took the Cush as one of its provinces; however there were Egyptian tributary districts as far as blue and white Nile and red sea. After gaining full control over the Cush, the Cush adapted every way of life and temples became their center of worship up to the 6th century after the coming of Christianity.  By the 11th century, the new kingdom had collapsed, got divided and Cush emerged again as an independent kingdom that was governed from Napata. The Cush Kingdom conquered and ruled Egypt between 750 and 740 BC after which Egypt was re-united. Confrontation between the Assyrians and the Egyptians in 688-663BC resulted to Cush Pharaoh retaliating returning to dynasty in Napata where he originally ruled from prior to the unification of Egypt. In 590 BC, the Cush court was compelled to move to Meroe, a safer place than Napata due to the Egypt attack as it tried to regain its control over Cush again. Meroe developed for several centuries independent of Egypt and extended its dynasty to the present day Khartoum from the third cataract located at Sawba.The pharaoh traditions still persisted in Meroe, a well managed irrigation system sustained the huge growing population at Meroe. By the 1st century BC, there was development of the Meroitic script that was similar to the indigenous Egyptian script. The succession system at Meroe was not necessarily hereditary and crown was passed from brother to sister or to brother and selection of the queen was very crucial to smoot h succession. The Cush fell after it was invade by the predatory Blemmyes who were nomads but Meroe continued to be with contact with the Indians and Arabs.By the 2nd century, the Nobatae occupied the North of Cush at West Bank, this was subsidized by the Romans as a buffer between the Blemmyes and then the Axum in the 5th century, now the current Ethiopia that capture and demolished the city of Meroe ad there from Meroe kingdom ceased. In the 6th century, three states that were descendants of Meroe Kingdom emerged; these were Nobatia, Muqurra and Alwa.These kingdoms used Greek titles to rule the Meroetic population in imitation of the Byzantine Court. Missionaries started to preach in Nobatia in 540 AD and the Nubian kings were converted to Monophysite Christianity that was being practiced in Egypt, many bishops and religious leaders were consecrated in Egypt. The Mediterranean civilization was rekindled by the coming of Christianity.The use of Greek in liturgy led to development o f the Nubian language that combined both the Coptic and old meroitic scripts. The Nubian kingdoms survived many centuries but with the arrival of Arabs in 640 and subsequent conquering of Egypt posed a threat to these Christian kingdoms. Historians believe that the Muqurra and Nobatia kingdoms were forced to merge by the Arabs to form the Dunqula kingdom around 700 this resulted to isolation of the Nubian church since Egypt became dominated by the Muslims.The introduction and spread of Islam after Muhammad’s death lead to division between the south and north Sudan society. Islam encouraged economic growth, political stability and education development to its followers. Islam was spread to the east and north by the Arab armies who also attacked the Nubian territory in 642 and 652 thereby demolishing its cathedral.Though with continued arabization of the Nile valley, there were tension between the Arabs and Nubian territory and the resulted to a peace treaty which encouraged tr ade between the two opposite sides and other regions. This lead to emergence of two Arab speaking groups, the Juhayna and the Jaali. These groups aided in bringing down the Nubian territory.The Nubian territories remained independent up to the 13th century when they were overruled by the Muslims due expansion of Islam   to the continuous intermarriages between them and Arabs which resulted to the dark age of Christianity as slavery intensified. This forced the Nubian communities to seek Arab protectors for fear of their security.
